Grant County Released Inmate Photos
A booking photo is an image tied to a booking event. It may show that an agency associated the image with a named record at one point in time. The image does not establish the final court result. It also cannot show whether the person remains in custody, was transferred, entered supervision, or completed all legal obligations.
Grant County does not publish a current jail roster, historical booking database, recent-release list, or photo gallery in the reviewed official sources. A person who left the Grant County Jail should instead be confirmed through the jail’s movement record, the court case, Oregon DOC or VISOR when state custody applies, and the responsible records office. Photo discovery is a separate task from release confirmation.
Grant County Mugshot Discovery Channels
The correct source depends on which agency made the image. A county booking photo and a DOC identification photograph are not interchangeable. Official photo access can also be restricted even when related booking or court facts are public. The table separates the channels found in Grant County research from categories that may carry stale copies.

Request a Grant County Booking Photo
The only direct county photo route identified is a request to the Grant County Sheriff’s Office. The county records page says Sheriff-related records must go directly to the Sheriff. It does not post the Sheriff’s current form, photo fee, or response estimate. Dispatch charges shown elsewhere belong to dispatch requests and must not be quoted as Sheriff photo charges.
- Call the Sheriff at 541-575-1131 and ask for the current public-record request method, fee schedule, delivery options, and estimate.
- Identify the subject by full name, DOB if known, and an approximate booking date. Add a case or booking number when available.
- Describe the specific Grant County booking photograph rather than asking for all records or broad investigative material.
- Ask the agency to state whether the photo is releasable under ORS 133.870 and to identify the applicable basis if it is withheld.
- Keep the response with the related booking, release, and court records so the image is not separated from its date and context.

Oregon Limits Grant County Mugshots
Oregon reverses the common assumption that each police booking photo is an ordinary open record. ORS 133.870 generally prohibits a law-enforcement agency from releasing a booking photo, subject to enumerated exceptions. The current statute should be read before stating that a specific exception applies because amendments can change the list and conditions.
The restriction applies to the county law-enforcement photo channel. It does not mean all arrest, custody, or court records are closed. Oregon Public Records Law may govern related material, but express exemptions, privacy rules, sealed records, and the booking-photo statute still control. Ask the Sheriff for a determination instead of claiming a general right to a copy.

Grant County DOC Identification Photos
Oregon DOC uses a materially different photo channel. Its Public Records Center says a public Pen Pack can include a photo, public-information prints, face sheets, court or sentence orders, and sometimes parole-discharge, revocation, or sanction documents. For a former state prisoner connected to Grant County, request the DOC identification photograph together with the final release or discharge material.
Label the returned image accurately. A DOC identification photo may have been taken by state corrections and may not depict the person’s Grant County booking. OOS or VISOR may also display an official DOC image on an individual record. Compare SID and public identity details, then read the status, location or caseload, and date. The photo is not the status field.

No Grant County Mugshot App
No official Grant County jail-information mobile app was located. No regular Sheriff social feed of releases or mugshots was found either. The county’s CivicPlus Sheriff News subscription is generic agency news. It does not search for a person, display a custody record, or provide a verified photo-based release alert.
Grant County Quick Links may still use the older VINE name. Oregon’s current custody-notification system is VISOR. Use VISOR for qualifying release and transfer notifications, then request the source agency’s record for formal proof. Do not portray a generic county-news email or social post as an inmate-specific service.
Grant County Mugshots in News
Local news may reproduce an arrest image or an agency-supplied photo when covering a newsworthy case. Such a report can help identify a possible case number or source agency. It is not a live custody database. A story may predate dismissal, acquittal, sentence completion, transfer, set-aside, or release, and it may not reflect a later correction or removal.
Commercial and third-party mugshot pages are even weaker custody evidence. They may retain old material, join the wrong person to a name, or omit the eventual case result. These sources are categories readers may encounter, but they receive no links or endorsement. Return to the Sheriff, DOC, VISOR, or Oregon court record to confirm status.
Grant County Mugshot Removal Rights
Oregon calls expungement of many adult records a set aside. ORS 137.225 governs eligibility, procedure, exclusions, and legal effect. Eligibility depends on the offense, record, time, pending matters, and current law, so no single waiting period applies to every case. A signed set-aside order can change the public visibility of official records, though linked systems may update at different times.
ORS 133.875 regulates certain publish-for-pay booking-photo practices. It supplies covered removal and destruction duties after a qualifying request and limits conditioning removal on payment. ORS 646A.806 separately addresses a covered arrest-photo website that charges for removal and provides a no-charge process when proper written notice and qualifying official documents are supplied.
Use the current statutes for eligibility, documentation, and deadlines. Do not pay or promote a removal vendor based only on a demand page. A person seeking to enforce their own set-aside or correct an official record should start with the court that issued the order and the government agency maintaining the record. Never rebuild sealed material from an old repost.
Note: Removal from one publisher does not by itself erase every official record or prove that each separate copy was updated.
Confirm Grant County Release Status
A photo search should end with a status check. The Grant County Jail lists 541-575-1134 for the immediate custody question. The Grant County Sheriff’s Office is the starting point for a durable county release entry. For an Oregon prison case, read OOS or VISOR and request DOC release or discharge material. The court judgment can explain the legal outcome but is not the jail’s actual departure timestamp.

In each path, the record and status carry the conclusion, never the face in the image.
The record date must remain attached to any lawful photo copy. For a local case, compare the booking interval with the Sheriff response and the court Register of Actions. For a state case, use the SID and DOC record date. Similar names, a changed appearance, and an undated repost can all lead to a wrong match. If an official source corrects or removes an image, respect that action instead of preserving an older third-party version.
Release and case outcome are also separate. Bond, time served, dismissal, transfer, parole, and probation each carry different meanings. A photo cannot tell which one occurred. Where the public record is sealed, set aside, or otherwise restricted, do not reconstruct it from news clips or commercial archives. Accurate discovery means using the narrow official channel, recording its limits, and stopping when the law or agency response does not permit disclosure.
